A visit to ESDI EV Technologies: Exchange among conversion specialists – this time on two wheels

We were visiting a partner company: ESDI EV TechnologiesWe've even shared a trade fair booth in the past – so it's all the more wonderful that Alex and his team have now captured our visit in a dedicated video. ESDI operates in a very similar field to ours: Cleanly integrated electric conversions for classic vehicles – at ESDI mostly on four wheels, with us at VespaSame passion, similar engineering DNA, just a different platform.

The video: prosimo at ESDI – Vespa Electrical conversion in detail: In the video, ESDI and Simon take you directly into the discussion about the prosimo E-Kit for classic Vespa-Models (including V50/PK/Primavera / Smallframe). It's not about "motor + battery", but about system integration: riding feel, stability, packaging, electrical system, protection concept – precisely the details that you often only truly appreciate once you've ridden them.

Highlights from the visit

  • Classic look, modern substance: The renovation is integrated in such a way that it remains "coherent" at first glance – while still being technically uncompromising.
  • Focus on system integration: Cable routing, protection, on-board network, packaging and a well-thought-out overall system instead of a DIY solution.
  • Modular approach: Performance and range scale via the battery concept (depending on the kit variant).
  • Suitability for everyday use: Charging on the vehicle, removable battery (depending on setup), optional Type 2/AC charging – designed with practicality in mind.
  • Driving modes & character: From efficient to "really powerful" – without destroying the idea of the classic scooter.

Why we consider such visits important

Such meetings are more than just "content": participants learn from each other, compare solutions, and see how other teams are electrifying classic vehicles – facing similar challenges but different constraints. It is precisely this blend of emotion (classic cars/icons) and engineering logic (system, safety, legality) that makes the scene so exciting.

Outlook: Meeting at the Bremen Classic Motorshow

In the video we also talk about seeing each other again at a trade fair – including at the Bremen Classic Motor ShowAccording to the organizers, it will take place. January 30 to February 1, 2026 in Bremen.
