3rd Bavarian Cement Track Race

July 16–18, 2026 | Niederpöring | Isar Cycling Stadium

This weekend is the big event: A prosimo kit will be racing on one of the fastest concrete tracks in Europe. Not as a test, not as an experiment – but as a fully-fledged participant in the 3rd Bavarian Cement Track Race in Niederpöring.

What exactly is the cement track race?

The Isar cycling stadium in Niederpöring is no ordinary venue. The track measures exactly 333,33 meters, is 6,5 meters wide, and has an impressive banked curve of 27 degrees – built in 1977/78, it remains one of the steepest and fastest concrete tracks on the continent.

The Bavarian Cement Track Race has been held here since 2024: vintage carsVespaS-Class, Lambrettas, and Ciaos compete against each other – but not in the way you'd imagine a race. It's not about being the fastest. The winner is the one who crosses the finish line after exactly five minutes – not earlier, not later. No full throttle, no rushing. It's about feel, rhythm, and car control.

Two scooters, two stories

We have two pilots at the starting line:
Heiko
drives his Vespa T1 Struzzo (VL2T2***) from 1955. It has a history that deserves its own website – and that's coming soon.

Just so you know: Heiko found the frame in Italy back then, without an engine, restored it, and the scooter then sat for over 30 years, first in his apartment, then in a shed. The patina it has today largely comes from his two sons, who played with it in the kitchen as children.

Heiko never found the original engine. Nor the original paint, by the way; who even knew Max Meyer & Co. back in 1992? What he did get instead was a GS3 engine – which runs on a 10" rim instead of an 8". So, a 10" GS3 fork was added as well.

What was once a compromise has proven to be a stroke of luck for the prosimo conversion. A [system/feature] is now installed. prismo HP80-Kit with three batteries and fast charger. Simon goes with the VOLTRACER Ready to go. A comparable 40 hp, top speed over 120 km/h. And unlike Heiko, he has real racing experience: amateur motorcycle racing, he's still got it. He won't be able to fully utilize the 40 hp on the 333-meter circuit, though – but that's not the point. 😄
Heiko, on the other hand, is more familiar with racing from the other end of the timescale: airfield quarter-mile races with his Lambretta, and – who still remembers – the legendary scooter races on the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit, the Cologne track. That was a long time ago. The concrete track will show whether the feeling is still there.
