prosimo at the Scooter Center Openday 2026
Several thousand scooter riders, weather that cooperated (as always at Scooter Center), and everywhere the familiar sputtering and humming – and at our stand: that calm, almost cheeky whirring sound when someone revs the engine at the Prosimo booth. Welcome back to the Scooter Center Open Day in Bergheim-Glessen, the spring 2026 edition.
We were there with our entire lineup: the 50s, the Sprint, the blue V50R, the 50s with the HP kit – and a project that, to be honest, always makes us pause for a moment. There were also test rides, genuine "aha!" moments, and at least one guest we'll be reporting on in detail elsewhere. More on that in a moment.
Scooter Center Open Day, Bergheim-Glessen
Since 1992, the Scooter Center The scene is all about spare parts, tuning, and everything a scooter enthusiast could want. The Open Days are no longer a secret, but a fixed date in the calendars of many riders. The place was packed – from the tubular handlebar-Vespa From 1954 models through the 70s, 80s, and 90s, right up to the current GTS and Lambretta models, for whose renaissance in Germany the Scooter Center bears a significant share of the responsibility. In addition: modern automatic scooters, racing scooters, custom conversions, beautiful original paint jobs – and on every corner, a machine that's running. And we don't just mean the scooters: coffee machines, ice cream machines, grills, and beer taps were also running at full capacity.
In short: good weather, good people, good conversations. Exactly the setting in which our kits perform best.

Yes, you read that right. A Vespa T1 from 1956 – Tubular handlebars, light patina, history – we have with the Prosimo 100 HP Kit Electrified. This isn't a standard conversion; it's an incredible project. A scooter celebrating its 70th birthday this year is getting a fantastic gift for its second life – quiet, emission-free, and with acceleration you wouldn't expect from its frame at first glance.
We will be sharing much more about this scooter in the coming weeks: about the concept, the installation, and the decisions we consciously made differently than with the standard kit. The T1 can be seen at the SIP Openday. In Landsberg – anyone who wants to take live photos and see the details is welcome to come along. It's worth staying tuned.
The 100 HP kit is now also available for Vespa Smallframe – but only for special installations, directly from Prosimo and selected partners.
Highlight 3: Italy teaser – first officially approved electric-Vespa
Why are we teasing this? Because Prosimo, the first electric-Vespa is one that can be officially approved in Italy with expert opinions.Anyone who knows what Italy requires regarding homologation for classic cars, conversions, and electrification also knows how significant this step is. For our Italian customers, this opens a door that was previously closed: electromobility in the classic car. Vespa-framework – legally, with expert approval, and on the roads of Italy.
A detailed blog post will follow shortly. For now, we'll just say this: We've worked towards this for a long time – and we're incredibly proud.
Highlight 4: Federico Vanore tests our Smallframe HP
We were impressively shown at the Open Day that our kit also convinces racing professionals. Federico Vanore, reigning champion of European Scooter Trophy – he won the championship in 2025 Supersport K2 class won – has our Vespa Smallframe with HP Kit I grabbed it and took it for a spin. Anyone who's ever watched a racing driver on an electric classic knows: it's a special moment. No caution, no worry – straight to the throttle, straight to a grin.
Simon had invited him to just go for a drive. Federico's own words, from the Video from the Scooter Center:
"Simon from the company Prosimo is behind me on the scooter, and he persuaded me to try riding an electric one again. I've actually never ridden one before. I'm going to take a short test ride now and see what it's like. I think this is the highlight of my day, a nice way to end it."
Federico Vanore, European Scooter Trophy Champion 2025 (Supersport K2)
And after the ride:
“…That definitely works well. Hey, you're at 100 km/h instantly. Holding the throttle for 4 seconds, that's crazy. I wouldn't have thought that possible.”
Federico Vanore after the test drive
That pretty much says it all. If someone who lives and breathes racetracks is surprised – then we've done something right.
Voices from the booth
It wasn't just professionals who were driving. Test drivers lined up all day – from young to old. VespaFrom the fan with mirrored sunglasses to the experienced two-stroke enthusiast who was riding an electric scooter for the first time. Here are a few quotes we'd love to share:
"It's pretty intense at first. You really feel it – the power is immediate. Overtaking, one quick burst of acceleration, and you're past. It's brilliant, pure fun. And the battery lasts."
Test driver, Smallframe HP
"I drive the same model as a two-stroke. It's fun too, no question – but this is simply a different version. No noise, no smell."
Test rider, prosimo Largeframe 80s kit
The most frequently asked question at the booth: Range and battery
All Ranges We receive questions almost every day, so here's a brief summary:
- Package of 80: Approx. 80 km range · Up to 80 km/h · 1,5 kWh
- Package of 100: Approx. 100 km range · Up to 100 km/h · 2,2 kWh
